Welcome!

Hello Everyone!

Hope all of you are doing well. We have been doing a lot of work these days. We love to update about our work. It was this principle of Total Quality Management(TQM) makes us work!
This had always been our interest as a company. In a simple way I would love to call it "involving your customers" in all your innovations and work. We love hearing what you feel and think about our products. At this point, I would love to mention Robin Sharma's words, " Be so good that they can't ignore you", which always alarms us to be good in our services, in our words, in our senses and in all ways so that every time you think of some jewelry to buy, we should be your first choice. This is how we work and not with respect to our profits or returns.

WHO AM I?

I am a half management student. I say this because, I belong to a stream called Industrial Engineering and Management, Before I start how my venture started, I would like to give a brief introduction about myself.
My name is Manaswini. I completed my engineering from B.M.S College of Engineering. If you are from South India, you will probably be aware about this particular college. My college was the first private engineering college in India and currently ranks number 12 in the top Engineering colleges of India. So belonging to this college I had lot of exposure with respect to many activities. In fact, I learnt so many life lessons at this particular place. So far, so good I started this particular venture of mine while I was in my final year. Why? Why because we had a new developmental activity at our college called Entrepreneur Development Cell(EDC). So this particular cell at my college exposed about the various student entrepreneurs or achievers. So when I saw the banner about a 6th semester guy who was from Telecommunication Engineering, I was really impressed. He was the CEO of three companies by then! So, this made me think about my career. Right from my childhood, I always wanted to establish business of my own. So that day I did not know what to do, but a quilling strip packet hanging out of a stationery shop after couple of days made me realize to start something on my own in the creative field. Why creative field attracted me because, it was an inherited character from my mother. So without any difficulty I could learn any art.

As I said I was a half management student, it was easier for me to relate the practical aspects of my academics with my business. My business management was fun and a true stress buster. As I was a final year student, I had to do a lot of work for my Project. So my business then, cut down my stress with respect to my project. I was never a Facebook addict. Eventually I became one because of my venture :P

WHY IS IT CALLED AADVIKA?

Naming my venture "Aadvika" was a funny story. There is no emotional thing involved here. And of course this is not my pet name or a secret name as everyone thinks:P
Jokes apart, when I first thought of starting a venture, I was looking for a different and unique name. As I was a Sanskrit student, I wanted something "Indianized" than something western, cool or funky. I was very particular  that my page name must not be "repeated"among all the existing facebook pages.  So as usual the surfing started and the first name that appeared on some website had "unique" in the meaning column. So when I looked for the name it was "Aadvika". I liked it. Did not ask anyone for suggestion. It was 1:30 am, had my 2nd internals the next morning. The subject was HRM(Human Resource Management) one of the boring subjects that I had ever studied in my entire engineering life :P So didn't bother to study, I started creating my Facebook page! So on April 23rd 2014 my jewelry page was officially published. And from then, people started recognizing me with this name! Even now, you type "Aadvika Jewelry" on Google, my facebook page appears first :D

I like it when someone gives a weird expression asking for its meaning :P It gives me a lot of pride that I have named my page differently that nobody is ever heard of ;-)

ALL OF A SUDDEN WHY DID WE START A BLOG?

Just to get an eligibility for "reviews"on the Facebook page, I created a blog page. But I was never actually bothered to post anything. But off late I have been getting lot of queries with respect to the quilling paper, places to buy quilling paper, is paper shiner good or bad etc. So I just thought if I start writing, not only my students but also other people who are into these craft works, will get benefited out of it :) As quilling turns out to be the most versatile craft works that is getting popular day by day!

So this is my story. Even though it looks like that I carry out the majority of the work, I have an amazing support from my parents and my sister. My sister being a doctor, always makes sure that she helps in some or the other thing. My parents will always involve in all my activities with respect to my business. They always love to hear all my customer reviews, my experiences with many people. They give me many suggestions to make my business grow. So far, it has been a short journey but an effective one. Recently we have gone a step ahead and we have started selling our products offline as well by putting up stalls at various places.

We love your support. And every time I get a message to my page or to my whats app from a stranger appreciating my work, I feel privileged. I'm really thankful to one and all who has supported me, who have appreciated my work, and have taken time off just to send me an appreciating text. These are things that I feel are real returns :) Thanks a lot!

Subscribe to this blog if you are a lover of my work :) I'll try as much as possible to make this space informative and exciting!
